Peter is an Industrial Hygienist with over 20 years of experience performing professional electromagnetic field measurements, designing EMF mitigation methods and developing EMF management plans for school districts. His technical experience includes alternating current (AC) electric and magnetic fields, direct current (DC) electric and magnetic fields, high radio frequency and microwave radiation surveys. He has conducted surveys for commercial and residential buildings, performed computer interference investigations, provided mitigation plans, performed EMF studies for developers such as the McMillan Company and provided management plans for numerous school districts. He has also acted as a liaison with utility companies on magnetic field reduction methods.
Mr. Sierck received his college education (B.S.) in Hamburg, Germany and has received specific training on electromagnetic field measurements through the University of California Berkeley, the California Department of Health Services, the Institute für Baubiologie und Ekologie in Germany and continuing education workshops. He is a charter member of the National Electromagnetic Field Testing Association (NEFTA) founded in 1991. Other distinctions include being a Registered Environmental Assessor (REA) with Cal/EPA’s Office of Environmental Hazard Assessment, a Certified Indoor Environmental Consultant (CIEC) and a Certified Indoor Air Quality Professional (CIAQP).
Peter received extensive training in RF and microwave testing and electromagnetic field reduction methods through workshops and internships with Doctors’ Martin Virnich, Ph.D., Thomas Haumann, Ph.D. and Dietrich Moldan, Ph.D. in Germany and the NARDA Corporation in the U.S. Peter and his spectrum analyzer equipment participate in biannual 2 day quality control and proficiency testing in German. Due to his ability to speak the German language, Mr. Sierck is able to review new EMF and RF research material, information, standards, guidelines, testing and shielding products available in Europe.
